It’s been 20 years since we were first introduced to the Soprano family. Fans of the show will undoubtedly instantly recognize the Sopranos house, it was the setting for many great scenes throughout the shows run between 1999 and 2007. Now, 20 years since we were first introduced to the property, we take a look back at one of TV’s most iconic homes.

The Sopranos house is actually owned by Victor and Patti Recchia. The long-term owners built the house in 1987 and have lived at the property ever since. However, the property at 14 Aspen Drive, North Caldwell, New Jersey went up for sale in 2019 at the price of $3.4 million.

The current owners are looking to downsize, and believe they can get the price they are after. Despite the home being somewhat more expensive than other houses in the area. They believe its iconic status increases the intrinsic value of this home.

The Sopranos House Today

The 5,600 square-foot home sits on a 1.5-acre lot, it features 4 bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a detached one-bedroom guest house and a two-car garage. You also get arguably the most iconic driveway in TV history! Which of course featured heavily in the shows opening credits….oh, and don’t forget the pool! That’s definitely still there!

The patio and pool area saw a lot of action throughout the TV series. this, of course, included the family facing off with a bear, Tony having a panic attack, and Tony saving his son from drowning in an attempted suicide.

The patio and swimming pool today, where Tony spent much of his time.

Inside the great room, you’ll find an octagonal vaulted ceiling, stone fireplace and French doors that lead out to the backyard. A stunning dining room features a tray ceiling, built-in cabinets with gold accents and a stunning chandelier.

The Great Room

The kitchen, where many scenes in the show took place, looks nothing like what it did in the show. This is because interior shots were not actually shot inside the house. The house was actually only used for exterior shots, much like in the movies Home Alone and Alvin and the Chipmunks.
