			</div><p>Fans of the 2001 movie ‘Training Day’ featuring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, should recognize 1031 Everett Street in Los Angeles, California, as the ‘Training Day House’.</p>
<p>However, Training Day isn’t the only movie this property has featured in. 1031 Everett Street has also been on screen in the 1999 movie ‘Blue Streak’ and the 2009 movie ‘Drag Me To Hell.’</p>

<p>Located in Echo Park, California, just a short distance from the <a href="http://houseandhistory.com/michael-jackson-thriller-house/">Michael Jackson Thriller House</a> and the <a href="http://houseandhistory.com/the-fast-and-the-furious-house/">Fast and the Furious House</a>, 1031 Everett Street is a three-bedroom home built in 1908.</p>
<p>The 1,700-square-foot home sits on a 5,729-square-foot lot on a street filled with turn-of-the-century craftsman homes.</p>

<p>Up until its first appearance on-screen in 1999 (<a href="https://amzn.to/3Pndkyr">Blue Streak</a>), the property was just a typical family home, with no previous major events taking place there.</p>
<p>The fact that the house was chosen on three separate occasions to appear in movies in a relatively short space of time makes you wonder if a film director, producer, or something similar once lived there. We’ve seen the same with other houses, such as the <a href="http://houseandhistory.com/paranormal-activity-house/">Paranormal Activity house</a>.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">The Training Day House In The Movie</h2>
<p>In the movie, the Training Day House features in a number of scenes. The property is owned by drug dealer Roger, played by Scott Glenn, and a number of major events happen there.</p>

<p>In one scene, Jake (Ethan Hawke) becomes the fall guy for the shooting of Roger, set up by a number of crooked cops, including Alonzo Harris (Denzel Washington), Paul (Dr. Dre), and Jeff (Peter Greene), who try to frame him.</p>
<p>The kitchen is also used in another scene where the dirty cops dig up the drug dealer&#8217;s floor and steal cash that’s been hidden there.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">1031 Everett Street In Blue Streak</h2>
<p>After Miles Logan (Martin Lawrence) gets out of prison, he goes to visit his girlfriend Janiece (Tamala Jones) at her home, which happens to be 1031 Everett Street, used in Training Day just two years later.</p>

<p>After knocking on the door, a much larger lady answers, and he makes jokes about her putting on weight while he has been in prison. Eventually, Janiece comes to the door, they have an argument, and she slams the door on him.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">1031 Everett Street In Drag Me To Hell</h2>
<p>In Drag Me To Hell, 1031 Everett Street is owned by Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), who plays the lead actress in the movie.</p>
<p>A number of scenes take place in the house, including one where a spirit picks her up and tosses her around the bedroom, leaving the room practically destroyed.</p>

<p>In July 2021, the Training Day house sold for $1,300,000; by that time, it hadn’t been on screen for over a decade. Will we ever see it again? Who knows?</p>

<p>In the above photo, you can see a close-up of the property&#8217;s exterior as it looks today. The window in the top right of the photo is the same one that Janiece (Tamala Jones) hangs out of while arguing with Miles (Martin Lawrence) after he gets out of prison.</p>

<p>From the front door, you can see a fairly distinctive fireplace in the middle of the room; this is the exact spot where the drug dealer Roger gets shot in Training Day. You can clearly see the same fireplace and stone wall behind him in this scene.</p>

<p>In the scene where the corrupt cops and Jake (Ethan Hawke) dig up Roger&#8217;s money in the kitchen, you can clearly see the exact same oven is still in place twenty years later!</p>
